Case g148 engine

Does anyone know where I can find a case g148 engine? I have a 310b tlb that?s cracked between the middle two cylinders.

I agree with Loren a hairline crack is not usually a showstopper. Look closely at the cylinder sleeve impressions on your old head gasket. If the firing pressure is leaking it will be obvious. Sleeve standout should be 0.001" - 0.004".

Although I havent messured the standout they cant be raised more than a thousandth above deck. Are there shims readily available to get the sleeves back into specs?

The gasket was leaking between the middle two cylinders but after cleaning the deck more Ive found that I have three cracks. One between the first and second cylinder one between the second and third cylinder and one between the third and fourth. There are no cracks from the cylinders to the outside of the block but I worry about the integrity of the block before trying to rebuild this one with the hairline cracks.

(reply to post at 22:29:52 12/07/18) [] If you decide to salvage this block be sure to check the bottom of the block where the sleeve o-rings seal. I had a vac cracked on top and found a crack in that area and that one will leak.
