Picked up my new corn planter

Picked up my new corn planter and tandem hitch today. I should have more than enough parts to make one complete and working for next season. The hitch hooks to a cultivator to pull the planter behind. If I can find a 3pt cultivator I'll use it too.

Looks like a winner from here. Planted a lot of sun flowers with one, they are a good planter Great find

To this day, there isn't another planter built with seed to firm moist soil contact than the K160 unit. Where are the fertilizer openers?
 
I'll have to get them from one of my parts planters. It amazes me how many variations there are in these planters. This one has closers like the IH planters have. I've never seen that option before.
 
I have another like this and one with round fiberglass boxes as well. But the one with round boxes is just parts.

Have a 4 row K series mounted planter and the 9 row bean planter. Use to pull the 434 with the #25 tillage hitch behind a mounted Glencoe field cultivator with the 1030. Later went to a K series tool bar digger with the coil spring shanks to shorten the load up. Had a solid bar behind the digger to level ahead of the planter.
