I thought my friends and old dealers would enjoy when I put together from the bundle of parts and advertising I just got.

Tom, hehe, we might be some of the few that remember these, or shall I say enjoy? Thanks for plugging in.

Very nice display items Dan. I never seen those kind having started working for CASE in 1973 at a new Company Store. Everything they had used the new block letter logo. I never took one photo at the 3 dealerships I worked for. As a youngster I did not realized years later I would give almost anything to see some of those items again. Rod.

Thanks Rod, yes the company stores were quick to "change things", I remember clearly watching them change the store lighted sign, taking down the block Case with the eagle, I ask Dad, if I could have the take off's, he said no, they take them with them, :(

Dan,

Those items remind me of trips to the Case dealer with my Dad. I used to gawk at the big pictures of 30 series tractors on the walls and grab brochures hoping Dad would buy a new tractor. Back in the shop section was an old coal stove for heat. Old retired guys would meet there and chew the fat and spit their chew into the fire, while drinking coffee that probably had a bit of "starting fluid" in it. LOL I loved that place. Don

I remember the hose clamp selection and the Case service center sign at the Hurkes Imp. dealership in Watertown SD. Went there with Dad when younger and when I started farming in 68.

Oh Don yes, those were the good old days, those farmers were not trying too "farm the world". Your spot on Don.

Dan, did you happen to get any of the original clamps that came with that display? I recently replaced an upper radiator hose on my car and put new clamps on it, one was so soft the worm gear stripped the band out without my noticing. If possible I'll stick with very old clamps in the future!

Don,

Would that dealer been Braun's in Algoma? I remember going there with my dad but don't remember the stove in the shop. Or did you have a closer dealer in Door County.

Al

Hello Al,

That was indeed Braun Implement in Algoma. My Dad would drive right past our local horse jockey dealer and drive the unheard of 20 miles to give his business to Einhart. The old coal furnace was in the back lean to addition where Fritz the mechanic sometimes worked. He let me assist with the overhaul of our D to new 4" sleeves and pistons over Christmas vacation when I was a freshman in high school. I was more bother than help, but I'll never forget the experience, or the characters who stopped in to visit. Don

Kevin, I didn't, they had used everything up, but I was sure glad to get the displays.
