3594 3pt hitch

The hitch will not lower. The linkage is moving with the lever and the shaft going onto the hitch box also moves withthe lever. Any suggestions?

There's some of the linkage broken inside the valve box underneath you can take the cover off without draining the transmission , you will lose about a gallon and it will drop , if you have an implement on it don't get under it ! It can come down fast when you pry on the linkage to see what is broken BECAREFUL!!
