Main and Rod Brgs Date Stamped 1969

I guess you will have to take my word for it, I took 14 photos and not one shows the date clearly. I have know idea on the hours of this tractor but had it not been for coolant seeping in the engine oil I would not have overhauled it as it ran well with no bad exterior leaks. Everything looks to be the original on the engine except the injectors and the air filter date stamped 1980 LOL. Rod.

Good deal! Like I stated earlier the 1170 1970 model had bearings stamped 69. At least someone must have changed oil regularly.

The 970 I got a few years ago had them too. Copper was starting to show thru but still not too bad. It was the third 970 made so I kept them in a container. Just for the heck of it I guess. Also stamped 1969. From the records the first few 70 series came out March/April 1969. Always interested in the stories the tractor parts can tell us.
