Case 430 Hydraulics

I have a 1968 Case 430 gasoline tractor. Been leaking hydraulic fluid for some time. I can't find anyplace to add hydraulic fluid, only the 1 1/2 inch transmission bolt with a 10" dipstick in from of the seat. The fluid level there is at the notch approximately 2 " from the bottom of the stick. Anybody know how/where to add hydraulic fluid???

If you have a triple range tractor, look on LH side of torque tube. The fill/dipstick is behind the hand clutch lever. (First pic). If you have a dual range tractor the fill/dipstick is on the RH side up on the top cover, under fuel tank, (second pic).

Thank You! Found it. Based upon your pictures (very helpful) I have a dual range tractor but my fill/dipstick is somewhat obstructed by hoses and linkages. In any case do you know how much fluid it holds?

He stated that the tractor has a loader with leaks and the only dipstick he could find was for the rear end, and it was on the mark. He just could not locate the fill/dipstick for hydraulics. Case was pretty good for hiding them depending on the tranny that was in the tractor. He also posted over on R&R forum on this site, where he mentioned the loader.

Hey Loren, thanks very much for all the info. Do you know how much hydraulic fluid it holds? I'm just trying to confirm the amount. I have a Case 430 service manual and if I'm reading it right (for the serial number of my tractor) and the fact it's a 4 speed it's telling me it holds 24 quarts "in the Torque Tube". I'd really appreciate some input here. Thank you!

I don't have a manual here to tell me oil capacities. Maybe some one else will chime in with capacity.
I presume that your tractor has the dual range with 4spd, giving you 8 spds forward and 2 reverse.
