Case 530 Brakes

I have a late model 1968 Case 530 loader tractor that finally has zero braking. I have previously replaced the rear brakes on my old Case 300 and it was a pretty big task, but I was successful. Can any folks give me advice on how big a project I am facing.....what are the do's and don'ts?.....does the differential lock pedal going thru the right side give me additional issues ?.....what is a good source for parts for something this old ?

Or......should I just look for someone who a dealer who knows old Case stuff and pay to have the job done ?

Thanks for any and all advice.

The job is not much different than what you had to do with your 300. Big difference is your 530 likely has band activated discs, which means a few more parts inside the housings to deal with, but the assys. are easy enough to figure out. The diff lock will likely give you a bit of grief getting the collar and fork lined up. Since you have to remove floor boards, you might as well remove the fenders to give you a bit more room to work.
Our friend John Saeli can supply you the parts, but likely a good cleaning will make them functional again.
