Got to plow with a Case yesterday

A friend was asked to plow a little 7 acre patch of old alfalfa ground so he gave me a call to see if I would run his LA and a 3 bottom, couldn't hardly turn that down. So I ran the LA, what a beast, pulled in 2nd gear all day and at the end of the day as I was making my last pass before we did the ends the plow snapped the axle off. So we had a 830 with a 4 bottom and a 670. MM with a 3 bottom. S

Sure enjoyed the pictures Henry, hard for me to make out, did the plow on the trailer get damage or is it just the way its sitting

It is broke that is the side that lifts the plow out of the ground. I lifted the plow and when I was turning around the shaft broke off right at the frame.

I don't know if it is, the guy that owns it has another one like it. That plow really "did" a nice job plowing.

One more thing. My hats off to anyone that can run one of those tractors multiple days in a row. I know I am getting soft in my older age but wow my arms where tired yesterday:)

When plowing, generally one has to fight the steering wheel of a tricycle front without power steering but not a wide front if the width of the wide front is set right.

Antiques are fun for group plowing or just messing around but not for serious get the work done.
