I found 2 SC's for sale not too far from me. Poor tires, and one has the mag missing, otherwise complete. They want a grand for the pair. Might give them an offer down the road, just don't have time for any project now or in the next 10 years. Hate to have them go to the scrap guy.

If they do not have eagle hitch and live pto, they are nothing more than a tug, they are a show/parade piece---money pit. If you enjoy the expense, time to make them trailer queens, to take them to shows and parades offer them scrap price, maybe $600 for the pair.
I have a late model SC with foot clutch, live pto and eagle hitch, but it is low on my priority list and I don't think it will ever break even if I fixed it all up and tried to sell it.

I disagree with Loren. Mainly on the non Eagle hitch years. Mine is a '49. It all depends on what you want to do with them. Mine goes to plow days and does quite well. Definitely not a show/trailer queen. I believe it comes down to how much you have to put into them and how much you would expect to get back versus how much would you use/enjoy it.

Bill, like you, I really enjoy my 49 "SC" it hardly burns any gas, its a pleasure to drive, and its just waiting for a little "H" to come by so it can kick its butt! hehe, seriously I wouldn't be with out this little tractor, here it is digging potatoes last fall, and its hooked again to the digger right now and will dig again. Plus plow up some meadow if I get time.
