I found a gallon of denatured alcohol and decided to do a final cleaning of the carb with my ultrasonic cleaner. I chose not to use the heater option .We will give her a couple of hours CM

Geeese Chuck, you just need to do a few more barley pop runs to the 711 with the 511 and it will run great. HeHe

Mineral spirits and naphtha would be less flammable for your ultrasonic cleaner. Mix it 75% mineral spirit and 25% naphtha.

If you want to continue using denatured alcohol you should put the ultrasonic cleaner out on the driveway. It's not a matter of if it will catch fire, but when it will catch fire.

If you want to see your next birthday you might consider not smoking around that alcohol also! I couldn't help but notice the cig. in your mouth.

Haven't heard about anyone using ethanol (denatured or not) in an ultrasonic. Let us know how it works! I think most are using dish soap etc.

Since I am replacing all the seals anyway ,denatured alcohol is my weapon of choice. Rubber seals and denatured alcohol don't mix. As I stated earlier, the heater switch remains off. I do want to see my 64th birthday in December! just sayin. CM
