Case sc clutch

Ihave a 1952 case sc and it,s very hard to engage the clutch.It has the hand clutch on the left side.Is there a reason and a fix for this?Thanks.

you need to back off the clutch adjustment remove the clutch housing side cover an IT manual will show the adjustment steps

If the clutch is adjusted too tight the tractor will start to move as soon as the clutch lever is moved to engage it. You need some free play. When adjusted correctly, as you move the clutch lever forward, you will reach a point where the clutch will push harder then snap into the engaged positional. As mentioned an operators or repair manual will give the adjustment procedure.
