Eagle Hitch Sickle Mower PTO

I am on the fence about trying to get my Eagle Hitch mower fixed up and running. It could be a real money pit for a mediocre mower (needs new bar, sickles, guards, belt, PTO shaft). I guess what will determine
if I continue is if I can find the front telescoping portion of the PTO shaft. Looking through some that are laying around here and none are the same. The telescoping part I am speaking of is the front half
that connects to the tractor. It is hollow where all the others I have found are solid on the tractor side. Mine is broken/decayed beyond repair.

Anyone have any ideas/leads?

Can you find the hollow tube for the back end that fits? If so and it has the yoke, you can buy a matching U joint and matching PTO yoke. Of course it is more money into the pit.

The back u-joint connects to a cast piece that is threaded onto the mower flywheel. Looks like a Case specific part. I could take it apart at the u-joint and keep the back half of the joint with new PTO shaft from there on forward. I was also considering getting replacement tubing for the front half and welding a new front u-joint and PTO coupling on the front. I am curious if it would produce much vibration if it wasn't exactly spot-on center? (eyeballing it)

I have posted a picture of the back half of the PTO shaft.

up, first you'd lose all your fillings then your teeth would vibrate out. Either take it to a driveshaft shop or forget it. It would eat up your new U-joints too.
