As promised I am posting the pics of the PTO pump and mounting with the long Gresen shaft that goes through the center of the pump and out the other side so you do not have to remove your pump to run an implement off your PTO. I tried to weld a short stub in the back of the pump but the shaft is cast iron and you could not weld to it and it was so hard it could not be drilled. Simple bracket bolted to the side of the pump and then to the center pin where the center link hooks. Holds the pump firm. I had to cut down my drive lines but that's ok because they were so long anyway. They will still work on just about any tractor. If anybody has questions I will be happy to help. This is my design and it works ok but If any of you have better ideas to improve what I have done let me know. Nick

We just put the pump on the pto shaft and the factory extension went in the pump and had a bolt you tightened which pulled a wedge tight to hold the shaft in the pump. Also just had a angle iron and short chain to keep the pump from turning. My way would shorten your assembly by about 12" and eliminate a lot of wobble.

I have never been able to find the shaft you are talking about with the bolt and wedge. Any idea where I can find it?

All Farmhand pumps had it available. Course Farmhand is long gone but maybe google Farmhand pump shaft or similar. Maybe E-bay.

Yeah, I'd rather read about it here, not in the paper.

That shaft looks to be stainless, not cast iron. I hope you left the shields off just for the picture!

Actually I have no shields. Might try to find some. You absolutely could be right about the stainless, it was so hard nothing would stick to it or cut it.

We simply had the angle iron long enough to reach the draw bar and just let the rotation of the pump rest against the drawbar. There would be a hole drilled into the end of the angle iron for a small chain to be attached to wrap around the drawbar to secure it from slapping but otherwise it was free to wiggle and squirm. Did this for both hydraulic pumps and sprayer pumps. Didn't have a through shaft like yours though so maybe you have to be more secure?

I think based on the shaft extending out longer it has the propensity to wobble. A little off on the tractor end makes alot on the end of the shaft due to length. My old International 350D had an external pump also and a Duall loader. It was chained and did fine.

What is the auxiliary pump running ? I don't see anything plugged into the OEM hydraulic circuit.

It runs my front end loader. It has a large du all loader.
