Looking to buy, OR find out where I should go to purchase the spanner wrenches (crows foot) that will take the hydraulic cylinders (Rams) on my CASE 580 CK tractor apart. It looks like (as per the service manual) the CASE part numbers are D4411 & D44115.

I haven't done 580 cylinders but have done many different cylinders. In my experience regular crows foot wrenches are pretty much useless for the type of torque required to break the nut loose on a typical hydraulic cylinder and especially if the nut has a taper like many of them have.

I use a monkey wrench (pic) with a cheater for light work and a pipe wrench with cheater for the bigger and stubborn ones. These adjustable wrenches have many uses while a crows foot is dedicated to one size.

You can buy the Case wrenches on-line like at the link below or do a search. Going to be very spendy for use on one tractor.

Joe

Two different types, ones that go in the end and ones that grab a hole on the outside. I have used the bottom one on quite a few cylinders and accumulators over the years and they haven't failed me yet. Sometimes some heat or well placed hammer strikes are needed but it gets the job done. 95% has been on caterpillar equipment but fits many others as well

I've picked up some OTC brand from Amazon and been happy with them. Tool trucks are the only other place to get them Here, other than maybe the local hydraulic shop which would be pretty spendy here.
