Hi,

New to the forum and have a question about narrowing down the year of this tractor I want to return to its former glory. It is a case 530 series, gas, adjustable wide front, triple range, with eagle hitch. Which I believe makes it a 541. Can't wait to get working on it. Seems solid and complete. I know it needs a new head gasket.

Can only locate engine serial number at this point. Last run more than 5 years ago. Thanks in advance for any insight and help.

nice tractor! i'm starting to see that maybe the correct fenders are the way to go. that has a nice look

thanks to all for the great info.
I have yet to get behind the wheel of one of these. I don't believe mine has power steering or assist. do they take some wrestling to turn?
There are some old good years on it for tires. would firestones be the way to go? I don't plan on doing a lot of field work with it, mainly just utility tractor work - maybe someday see about putting a small loader on it if possible.

It may be spring before i can work on it, but every time I see it back in the shed it makes it harder to wait

Don't sweat the fenders.. The fenders that are on yours have value. They were used on a lot of models over the years and a lot of folks are in search of them. Plus, we know a guy who makes repair panels for those fenders. He lives in South Dakota.

I have some seat time on the 530. This is me on my Grandpas. Like it was mentioned here is a photo of the correct fenders. Best of luck with your project, you have a very good starting point. Nice tractor.

Thanks, I'll have to look again. on the right side by engine is a plate with # 2007514 I believe. I kind of like the clam shell fenders better and probably keep them if they clean up good. Cheers,

Serial number should be on the right side panel if it is still on the tractor.
