my 430 with 188 engine leaks at the throttle shaft how do I go about fixing this and I saw something on about a Case collector show in IL anybody know where and when what is BBcode

I put kit in mine a few years back and it has not leaked one drop. I don't remember how much the kit was maybe 20 bucks. You can put it in with the pump on the tractor.

Dieseltech knows what he's talking about and won't hold you at gun point on the invoice. I'd recommend using him if plausible. He's repaired/overhauled two of my pumps plus injectors.

Most pumps I repair that come in for throttle shaft leaks need more work inside too. Usually the leaks start when the retainer ring breaks inside, causing the housing pressure to start rising higher than normal, then the leaks start. In the long run it's best to go through the pump completely. Just finished a Case 580 pump, it also needed a new drive brass bushing epoxied in too while apart.

Most I see are repaired and returned for under three hundred, complete tear down, inspection, repaired and bench tested. Am located in north central Indiana. E-mail is open on Classic, feel free to contact me if you have more questions. Thanks, Rich N.
