Case LAI's road gear

Did all LAI's have a road gear? was said road gear a tall 4th or an external drive? I have heard they would get up to 45MPH?

"LAI's" could be ordered with a high road gear, and yes some reached those speeds mostly War models, never heard of any external gearing thought they would have had the spring mounted front axle with those speeds

My book says high is 10 MPH. On 13-30 tires.And 9 2/3 MPH on steel. That sounds a little rough on steel.
