Does it grind when going???? does it act like it wants to go in??? if it acts like it wants to go in try adjustin the linkage its under the cab. if that don't help its inside and you will have to pull the valvebodie off and pull the shifters out of the way it will be a PAIN IN THE BUTT we pulled a 1070 one apart it was a mess well hope t his helps

I would get someone to try shifting it while you watch the linkage from under rt side of cab. Maybe its not going to neutral right or something like a wire or stone is jamming the linkage . Hope its something easy like that -Good luck!
