Hi All, I recently inherited a case 580Ck, Serial #8340435. With a backhoe attached. Could anyone explain the starting procedure particularly how the block heater works, and also the switch that says start and heat. How should the block heater light work, Im not sure things are working the way they should. I have used other newer tractors where I turned the keyswitch part way until the block heater light went out then started the tractor. Any info about this case would be very helpfull, such as where I might find parts for this model. Thanks

Thanks for the info. There is a bulb on the dash that says heater. Im assuming that should either be lit and go out when its ready to start or light when its ready to start. What about the decompression lever. ( I think that's what it is) when do I use that? As far as parts I have the whole dash ripped out to replace lights and gages do you have any of that stuff?

Start position is on main shift lever hold key to heat position and then turn to start. I have lots of parts for these I am in NY and I ship.
