Bosch Inline Pump

Thought this would be a good place to ask. Have a Bosch pump on a MM. Pump had not been used for years. Got it freed up and installed on tractor. Dumped conditioner in tank. Tractor started snd ran real good. Ran smooth and accelerated normal. Shut of and started up next day. It ran like crap and was missing. Black smoke also. Crack injector #4 and it smoothes out. Seems like too much fuel to #4. Also little to 1 and 2. Any idea what could have happened?

What engine is the pump from originally, or better yet post the pump ten digit #. Late A size can have the delivery valve gaskets break that will cause a low speed miss, depending on how bad it is. If it has high hours use the plunger control sleeves may be worn bad enough to cause loss of equal delivery control between cylinders.

Pump is off a 5 Star and am putting on a U diesel. Part numbers are same. Both are 8 mm pumps. Was running good 24 hours earlier. Both pumps are stamped 1955 and probably have low hours being from Canada and never used in winters.Ap4a80 something is #
