Anyone Need Anything?

Hi all, I inherited this Case NCM-T baler, and now have two NH's, so I really don't have any need for this one...

As soon as everything dries out I am going to crush it, BUT, before that, I figured I would offer it to anyone on here for parts?

Does anyone need something special off of it? I would be more than happy to take it off, and if you pay me a few bucks for shipping it will be on it's way!

I am going to see how hard it would be to take all of the teeth off, I am sure SOMETHING must use them! Mom wants the FlyWheel, but I still have both of the spoked wheels, and a even a few things for the Wisconsin that was on it...

Knotters are all complete, and I can't see any obvious reasons as to why it was retired, however I know for a fact that it hasn't been run in 45 years, so it was actually a low hours machine... It was replaced with a NH 68 hayliner, that I know have.

Let me know what you need!! E-mail me, or post on here... Bryce

Ya, I think it is pretty cool as well, mom thought that some flowering sweet peas would look nice growing up it!!! Bryce

Sure, what do you want for them?? I'm in E SD, but if I was closer I would take it all. Call me, I'll pay your price and shipping as I have a 140 that I think takes the same needle. 605-881-3042.

Shoot me an e-mail if you wouldn't mind... I am usually in and out all day and I will usually end up playing phone tag with someone!!!

Hmmm, let me see how heavy they are, but I could probably send them for $20, so would $30 sound out of line??

I'll take them off tomorrow sometime and weigh them, dad can send them off from work which helps with the cost a little, and if I could send them to you at a "business" address that would help a LOT!!

I talk to you soon! Bryce

Well, O KEE DO KEEE!! :) I'll give you a call tomorrow sometime if that is alright? We are just sitting down to supper... Here is a picture of the needles... Look right?? Bryce

Ohhhh, $200? Not sure exactly what it weighs.... I was thinking probably about 2500?? Scrap is running about $180 a ton over here...

Think of it this way: $200 for a baler, and $400 worth of fuel to come and get it!!! I don't think it is worth it, but the choice is yours!!

By the way, it doesn't have any needles on it.. :)

It's definatly worth it! That was their first twine tie baler and only made a short while. Hard to find another.

Here is a picture of the serial plate... Are they really that rare/valuable? I thought that everybody hated them because of their size?!?! This one is quite a beast... A fried bought the Wisconsin 4cyl off of it for $100 and it was ROUGH!! I figured that no one wanted it and that I should just crush it!!

I personally am not a huge Case Collector, plus I have two MUCH smaller NH's in better shape that I plan on using, and as far as I am concerned, this beast is too far gone!! I would sell it all together if someone wanted it... Does anyone have a guess at what it weighs??? Bryce

If I was as close as you are I would go after the whole baler! I am out east, and that would be considered good condition out here! I don't see what makes it so bad. It would clean up.

This is what's wrong with our hobby now days. Everybody is looking at the quick buck and scraps everything. I needed parts for my NCM-T that fit the wire tie version also and spent years tracking down parts. Then, I sold it to another collector and he ended up cutting it up to make a stupid gas engine cart! Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CASE balers in general can be harder to find and a rare gem like this is almost priceless!

I gotta agree. Scrap is not an option. I won't send anything that is salvageable to China or part it out.

If someone wants to bring that NCM-T to PA cheap, I'd buy the whole thing from you, and get it going. I had to give good money for my NT out here. That is worth more than scrap to the right guy.

Well, I will hold off on scrapping it then! I put an ad for it up on my local CL..

Like I said, if anyone wants it I think it weighs 2500-3000 lbs, at a little under $200 a ton (called and checked) $300 come and get it!! I have a backhoe and will load it!!

I would never scrap anything like this that apparently has a good amount of value to it! I didn't know that these old balers were worth anything!!

Bryce, when I got into this hobby about 20 years ago everybody collected tractors. If it had a mounted implement a lot of them were cut off and cut up. Now, with field demonstrations, plow days, and threshing bee's becoming more and more common it's guys like me that saved all that old stuff that really have fun at these events. I have 20-25 moldboard plows and tons and tons of other implements, from disk to choppers and pickers. If I had a couple days to run out I'd grab that baler tomorrow but I'm buried in work.

Well then, write down my e-mail and when you dig yourself out shoot me an e-mail!! You know where it will be sitting!! I'm in no hurry to get rid of it, I just kind of wanted to start cleaning up some of this "junk" that I have sitting around. I personally don't have an interest in it, but I would LOVE to see it go to a good home!! You guys have my word that I won't crush it!! Bryce
