Wondering if anyone can help me track down fuel filter numbers for a 1958 case 900b diesel. Both local case dealer and auto parts store have ordered them in for me with no luck getting the right ones. There is three, on washable screen and two replaceable.

Does your 900 have the american bosh rotary or the inline? It sounds like to me that you have an early 900 with the rotary. I work at a case dealer and the new system wont show the 900 parts and prices correctly for some reason. However I wouldnt be surprised if the early 900 tractors were similar to the 600 minus the lower primary filter by the bolster. On the 600 it looks like the old number was O10283AB, which subs to the A31222 which looks to be the cotton filter. A57228, will be your canister (final filter) See if these are any that you have had so far. Hope this helps.

I take that back. The 900 parts screen is showing the old metal screen type near the bolster. I would try the cotton filter for the 600 then on that secondary and your final should be the canister.

Here is pictures of my cousins 900B. I believe I have the sequence 1-2-3 on the filters right. NO3 is a sealed one like on all the later 900"s and 930"s.

If it's the style jimmy posted the primary is washable. If it's past washing stage I use 2 of a A7627 cotton wound filter. They should compress into the canister.

I have a 58 and 59 900B. On both the final (top) filter is sealed and a throw away but I did flush mine out once and used it for awhile. The 59 is inline and 58 is distributor type pump. Our local farm store had these filters(Baldwin) in stock a few years ago. The final filter has a ball type check valve in it and when it gets dirty enough it will stick. BTDT
