Need Paint Color for my Great Wife!

We are having our house built and my wife is letting me have the front door painted Flambeau Red! I have the paint codes for tractors, but was wondering if anyone had a code for houses, specifically McCormick Paints?

My nephew said that the siding should be Desert Sunset instead of white! However, I'll take whatever I can get, which includes a part of the basement for my toys!

I keep telling the wife that desert sunset, would be a nice colour for our kitchen. No luck so far.

If the door is steel, the tractor paints would be fine and appropriate!
If the door is wood, seal it good and use the tractor paints.
You may not get another chance like this.

You are lucky, my wife keeps telling me my 630 should be painted maroon and white for the Aggies when we move to College Station, TX (Home of Texas A&M) in a few months!!

We painted my son's room in Case colors. We tried to have them match it at Lowe's. They could match the desert sunset, but they had a problem with the Flambeau Red (if I remember correctly it had something to do with the brightness). We used color cards to match it instead. The color we came up with in their Valspar Ultra Premium line of paint was fairmont suite clay red (115-4Y 116-4Y28 111-3Y6 113-4). The color match on the desert sunset was 104-8 111-4Y16 109-4. I will post some pictures of his room in a different post, so you can see how it turned out.

The paint codes to paint flambeau red wouldn't help a paint store to make the color. If you would go to an auto part store that sells touch up paint, look for Dupli-Color Chevrolet Orange Red DE1607 and make a sample for the paint store to computor match. Case Nutty says the power red that Case sells is so close to flambeau red that you can't tell the difference unless you have them side by side. The Case paint would work fine on a wood door.

The image at the bottom right is the Chevrolet Orange Red. You could add some black enamel to the power red and achieve the flambeau red.
