870 diesel value

Customer is considering not fixing this 870. I am guesstimating his needed repairs in that $3500 range. Axle brgs, PTO and a problem in the 4 speed.
Engine seems to run good,approx 3500 hr on OH, with 8500 total hrs. Powershift seems OK. Rear tires around 70 percent. Overall appearance I would call fair. He has not mentioned a price. Any thoughts on what I should or should not give for this? Thank You, Rod.

Rod my thoughts are a good running 870 would be in the 5000-7000 range here with those low hours that would be with factory cab used tractors have come up in the last few years so I would think 1500-2500 on it would be in the ball park witht the work need on it

I'm a bit more conservative then my old friend Tom,I guess from what I see is 1000-1500 as it isnt going anywhere the way it is
 
Dan I think those tires are worth 500-800 easy a salvage yard would give 2500 or so as it sets just my thoughts, and my high end price was retail not wholesale as I like to buy them lol

I knew I would get you out of the tractor on that one! Yes Tom, a spread of 1000.00-2500.00 is pretty close, so were thinking alike. And mentioned the cab, that means a lot too
