Need a throttle shaft

I hate to keep bothering everyone with non-case issues, but this is the best forum I have found and all of you guys are so helpful. I spoke of an old flathead mack I was restoring and came in need of a throttle shaft today. It actually is for he governor, which uses butterflies like the carb and is under the carb. It is 9/32 brass shaft and has a slot machined into the middle, not just one side, for the butterfly. The butterfly is 1 7/16" across and the shaft only needs to be about 2 1/2" to 3" long. I know it is not case, but perhaps the description rings a bell with something on a shelf that I can modify. My shaft has the linkage clamped on so I just need a donor. Thank you everyone for the best forum going

All my old trucks had them removed years ago. Why do you feel you need it? You do have a foot that lifts don't you?

Haven't got enough experience with this kind of a motor to figure out if I need it lol. It is a strange set up that is for sure. Just wanted to fix it because it was there. Is it something that can be eliminated?

Basically what it does is close the air off when the engine gets to governed speed so the door knob driving does not over rev the engine.
