I have a 1952 case SC with a Fairbanks Morse Magneto been having a problem with the tractor missing under load the more gas I give it the worse it gets seems to miss sometimes when the angle of the tractor changes like on hills. But mostly under load or just holding the brake. I can usually stop the miss by decreasing the gas. Id appreciate any help plugs are ok. spark is a little weak but has always been like that. I can only say it has compression but don't know how much..

well if Its a SC,, Your Better off That its GONE ,,. LOL.. seriously.. the uphill downhill slope reminds me of the crazy shi!!I went thru with 2 of the sc;s I had here , it was a craked burned out intake /exhaust manifold ,,they are reapiable , mite spray ether around the manifold at idle and see if it piks it upp , when the 3 rd one came here I knew , what its problem was .., this one wouldn't run at all ...It is a Very Common problem for the timid sc that I still dispise to this day ... if you have eliminated everything one at a time with no improvement .. pull the valve cover and make sure the rocker arms are ok , mite be a good time to afjust valves ..

Yes I did try resetting it and several different adjustments to the load screw. checked the float also it appears to be to specs

Ill check it out tomorrow and see. Yea seems like your always fixing something on these. But hey its 60 years old and she's all I got to work with. Ill let ya know how it went.

Can you try changing the timing a little by rotating the magneto and see if that helps? Sanding the magneto points with some very fine sand paper may help the spark.

It stopped raining got a chance to spray around the manifold nothing? checked the timing looks ok goanna look at the valves today.
