What kind of Case is this?

Hi guys it's Bryce. I have had this Case for a little over a year and am finally starting to do something with it. Here is what I have been told that it is: VA, VAC-13, VAC-14, VAO ( without sheet metal ), and a few more that I have ruled out. It does have the adjustable wide front. I personally think that it is a VAC-14, but not sure!!!! If so, are they good tractors? And also, does anyone know how many of them were made? I know they made about 150,000 of the VAC series, but I don't know for the individual style it's self. It does not have the eagle hitch on it, just a little bit of a home made deal-e-o that I have since taken off. I think that the belt pulley hydro pump on the right side, and cylinder on the left is correct, but that all of the junk that was hooked on it was not! Anyway, let me know what you guys think, any info, pics, or anything else would be really appreciated!! Thanks, Bryce
P.S. I posted this exact same message on the Tractor Talk forum, and they said to post it over here.

it is a VAC-13 early 1951 or before with that sheet metal and axle type, with no Eagle hitch that puts it pre 1949 as all VAC tractors 1949 and after had Eagle hitch standard equipment, the VA and VAI and VAO could be ordered with Eagle hitch starting in 1949

I checked the serial number on the tag and it says VAC 5264528, which makes it an early 1950, still possible to be ordered without Eagle Hitch? I have a chisel plow for the back of it that works on kind of a four point system, two points on bottom of axle, and two on top where those long arms hook to the hydro cylinder. Thanks, Bryce

It is a 1948 VAC row crop. The VAC is not particularly a rare tractor but they are very reliable. The adjustable wide front end on that tractor is much rarer than anything else.

The VAC-14/13/12/11 etc did not start until 1953.

Looks like a nice little tractor.

Man I've wanted one of those just like that with the wide front but no eagle hitch. Wanna sell it? lol

Well, perhaps! What would you want to spend on it? It has good tires all the way around, and I just got it fired up tonight and it ran great! Has a little fuel leak though, copper line snapped in half while I was driving it..... Bryce

I have a question, what is all that white stuff all over that picture? Don't happen much in Texas. My name has been Bryce for 72 1/2 years, later.

Mine has only been Bryce for 15 1/4. However, it is still cool to meet another one! There are not many around! That is whats left of our 6 1/2 feet of snow that fell last winter. An easy year for sure! One year was so bad that the dogs were walking across the top of the snow, right on to the top of the roof of our 1 story house..... Bryce
