Tire/Rim size

I've been reading where guys say they want 38's on the rear of the tractor.My question, do you have to change rims? my 930 has 18.4x34 tires, is the rim size 18.4 like cars that have 15's, 16's etc? Or 34, 38 the rim size?thanks in advance john

38 is the diameter of the tire like the 14,15,16 in
car tires. the 18.4 is the width across the tread of
the tire.
