re-wiring my 430 question

Been re-storing a late Triple Range 430 Gasser for close to 7 years now. Re-built from front to back, chassis all painted. Anyways, I forgot how to wire the "GEN" lamp in. 1 wire to the ignition, but where does the other wire go? Thanks.

Hook it to the gen or A terminal on the regulator with the wire for the gen A post.

Don't understand how that works without burning out the bulb filament, but if the filament does burn out, it won't charge, correct?
How did the tests go yesterday?
