the front wheel begins to wobble quite bad as i pick up speed on my case vac.is there an adjustment for that? Thank, don.

One wheel or two, tricycle or wide front? Did your tighten up on the bearings? Do you think its in the steering gear box, if so later model SC and DC tractors allowed you to turn the selector gear twice to move to an un worn spot, maybe VAC did too. You need to tell us more about your problem.

It is a two wheel narrow front.havent had the tractor very long.Where is the selector gear located? How can i tell if it,s inthe steering box? This is all new to me.Thank,s for your response. DON

Best thing I recommend is getting a J.I. Case factory service manual for the VAC. They are on eBay frequently. The selector gear is in the steering gear box I believe so you would really need a manual before you start tearing it down. I remember my Dad saying how easy it was to reposition the selector on our SC, but then he had the manual. Did you check the front wheel bearings for slop? They are tapered Timken bearings and can be tightend some but if there is too much slop then they may need to be replaced.

That would be my first check.
