The newest part of the fleet. A 1980 2290. It is an 8 speed tractor, and has 73XX hrs. Runs fantastic. It was cheap. Best part is, it starts great in cold weather.

You must have got a better one. Got one sitting down in the back yard with eleven thousand hours. Engine has been overhauled once, transmission has been gone thru two or three times and it is out again, turbo has been replaced at least once, pto gone thru twice, starter sucks oil out of the transmission nonstop somehow or other, power steering pump has been replaced twice. Won't start if it gets cold out.

In my younger days, mom, dad and my brother made frequent visits to dad's youngest brother Pete, who took over the home farm from grandpa MIke. It was the typical set-up, milk cows, pigs & chickens.
