I took this pic. years back. and while I was sorting out my Case stuff, today, I ran across an envelope full of pics. If you were a CaseIH dealer or loyal CaseIH customer, you may recognize this tractor. I will post the details and a bunch more pics. tomarrow night. Loren

It was a proto-type model designed by CIH to meet pending government requirements of having a bureaucrat looking over your shoulder while you farm. P.S. There was also a proposal to add a diaper changing table as optional equipment for the modern dad but the idea never made it out of a congressional sub-committee.

gotta be a test unit. "side car" cab for the test guy to ride in and read instruments (load cells) attached to the tractor/implement. Used to do some of that at Gehl. but just me in the cab (we had a 5240 i think) with laptop in back left corner of cab hooked to feed grinder or silage wagon measuring horsepower requirements on various parts of the machines.

My guess is that it was some sort of test sled. Maybe to test wheel slippage. There is a computer monitor in front of the guy siting in that add on piece and some sort of big box behind him. Also has something standing up by the exhaust stack as well, maybe some sort of emissions testing equipment? The add on piece looks more like an 88 series cab than it does a magnum cab.

Any chance it was used in a head-to-head showdown with a John Deere?
