M W 400 dyno

Just picked it up this morning. I don’t have a manual for it yet, but would like to use it this weekend. Here’s my question- what is the knob for on the upper left-hand corner? Thanks!

There is a valve that will stop the needle in the gauge from bouncing around too much. Close it to make the needle more steady. Don't close it too much or the needle will stay in one place. I am not sure it is in the upper left corner or not.
