I was searching the archives and to my surprise found forum info dated 1999. Just wondering when this started. Thanks, Rod.

I was at work one day in 1997 and we'd get emails from Microsoft featuring the "Cool Website of the Day" or something like that. One day it was the YT site, and I've been hooked ever since!

I've been here since 1999 and it had been going for year or so before that as I remember it.

The first time I found this site was the very first time I had access to a computer and the internet, way back in the day of dial up. I believe the search engine was "Netscape", which I'm not sure even exists anymore, and I typed in "antique tractor". YT was the first hit. That was in 95 or 96.

Rod,
I'm not sure either. I know I have been on this website at least 8-9 years now. YT is my home page, and I enjoy it very much. By the way, how is your Case cave coming along?

Case cave is almost done. Heater goes in tomorrow, will post pics soon. Been busy preping for harvest as mother nature is pushing that very fast. I hope all is well in your area. Rod.

Glad to hear the shop is coming along well. Corn is starting to come out here this way. Still some corn silage being chopped yet. Some last season haying wrapping up too. Beans are really drying up. Won't be long and everyone will be going strong.

In this area of Wisconsin, most crops are raised to support livestock production or dairy herds in various forms. Corn products were harvested for grain, and for ensilage (we always just called it 'silage'). Silo Filling Time On dairy farms back in the 30's and into the first half of the 40's, making of corn silage was done with horses pulling a corn binder producing tied bundles of fresh, sweet-smelling corn plants, nice green leaves with ear; the ...
