KY,

You're looking at one of the first ether injectors, the ether came in a sort of gelatin capsule. It was placed in the unit and punctured and there was a small line which connected to the tractors intake manifold.

Years ago the company I worked for had GMC deisels with those injector systems. They worked good. At that time we had capsules made by Chevron. Had warning on can NEVER use more than two at a time. That knob on the left side of dash was a small pump type thing. You pulled that knob out then punctured the capsule. Then pushed the knob in to feed the cylinders--worked good. Len
