case 430 pics/info?

i thought it was sold already. here are some pics of the 430 that is for sale near me in south La. the owner said that the pto shaft, clutch, throw out brg, and pilot brg are new in it. Has one new rear tire, the ser # is 8360153, the instrument panel has been replaced with a standard oil press gauge. It also has a temp gauge and two indicator lites and is asking 3100 for it. It has the 4 sp trans with a Hi/lo range, wondering if this is a desirable tractor and if the asking price is fair? thanks all.

Check to be sure PTO shaft & clutch all work OK. That is the independent PTO and I think the shaft runs through the transmission to engine. $3100 sounds a little high to me especially for a gas rig but I'm a chiseler.

it is a dsl John, here a late model 430 dsl equipped the way that is will command all of 3100.00 I have seen them bring over 5000.00 at auction my two cents

Dandy little late model (1969) 430 diesel that looks to be mostly original, and in pretty good shape. The only four issues I see are the non-standard rims and car tires, the aftermarket seat, the generator has been swapped for an alternator (which means no tach), and it appears it did not have factory hydraulic remotes. The owner has equipped it with dual rear remotes by plumbing a two spool valve similar to those used on a loader. I personally don't like the remotes mounted on the fender, but they no doubt function well...

I would think $3100 is not too far from a fair value...
