Had a fine time pulling the 711b Saturday

Temps were hot and hotter, but the 'ol girl was having a good time, and I was too.

Took 3rd place in 7000, 7500 and 8000, and another first place in 8500. Different track this time, going back to the first track Saturday after next. Mostly 6 cly. Cockshutts and Olivers at this track, Farmalls at the other one. Only Case in the bunch.
 
Not very many cases's pulled unfortunately. My family pulls dc's agains olivers two. We don't always beat them put we give em a run for there money.
 
my favorite is ... Pops 51 DC earned a trophy pulling years ago ,,The DC is probably the best pullin tractor Case Built in those days ,,It is hard to beat the ratio of Weight and torque of a well tuned DC .. I open that power jet on the Zenith Carb til that Ol Gentleman is making rich Smoke rings at idle ,, The Last 40 feet pulling the D
C finishes the run only on the back wheels ....Front wheels never get over a foot off the track,,

This latest track was soft and they wetted it down some about every 3rd class. Fronts never came up at all. On a dry hard track , they float just off the track.
