730 comfort king

I ran across a 730 comfort king that looks viable. It is not a case o matic, The PTO is twisted off(is this a very involved repair?) The rear rims are shot(fluid) The exaust manifold is shot. The distributior area was in a fire( cap melted, PLug wires gone, paint scorched) The good parts, was a runner when parked three years ago(indoors) Supposed to run well(owner seems honest) It is all there. And the sheet metal is in good shape. I offerd 800.00 on a guess what it would be worth as scrap. Am i way off base, or should I run like the wind, before I go too far?

Where's it at? I'd offer the same amount. PTO repair, you have to drain the trans. and remove rear housing to replace the shaft.
