All of your e-mails and letters are greatly appreciated by all of us in the family. Dad is continuing to regress, and his mind is now where he wants to be. Today he was cutting wood, I did also, The woods is a great place to sit back and reflect, wish he was there in person with me. He is headed to where he want's to be. Hopefully he will reunite with Major and Don. and enjoy the smells of fresh turned soil in the spring, and fresh cut hay on a summers night.
Hospice has had nurses here 24-7 the last two days to keep him confortable and at ease.
Again, a Big thanks to you all.
Loren

we all have a end to this circle were living on , were just never in a hurry to get there , GOD bless your dad on his last trip around the world , he will be in greeners pastures after his trip , prayers up

We must be sharing the same experiences 1300 miles apart. They put Dad in Critcal Care tonight. With his double pneumonia, now heart rate went to over 130, trying to get it down. Told him tonight that we could have had anyone for a Dad, but he was the best Dad we could of had!!

They say the grass is about 1.5 inches tall there and when you walk through it you receive energy from it into yourself coming through your feet. That should be a really great experience.---Derrol in Texas---

Loren, A few years back my dad passed away in a nursing home . I was there when he passed that night and I took my dad on a walk down the lane and talked how the crops looked. We then entered the woods were he spent a lot of time cutting wood. As we were in the woods I told dad that, see the light shining through the tree tops , this is as far as I can take you. At that point my dad took his last breath. may your dad find his place in the light and God bless your family as this parting of your Dad.

Loren, it's times like this I have a hard time saying the right things to comfort someone. But from what you have said your dad has had a happy and fullfilled live with a family that loves him. These wonderfull thoughts he will always treasure. God Bless. Rod.

Hospice was a great help for me and my family when I went through this same thing with my dad in the early 1990's. Both I at the ripe old age of 23 back then and dad at 59 should have both been much too young to experience this, but I can not say enough good things about Hospice.

Thoughts and prayers to your family....

My thoughtd are wioth you - Its funny I was 16 & dad was 57 (sounds like a previous post huh?) He waas a lumber mam. We had spent many hours together working in the woods (he was making a lot of his for a conservation example) I missed being with him -but imidiatly found time to walk in the woods with him.We did a couple overnights in the breif time B4 his service. He was and always will be my biggest loss. He will always be with you - just keep your doors open for him. Be blessed by what he taught you. May our God bring you peace. Your family will be in our prayers. God Bless

Loren,

In this difficult time for you and your family try to think of how Blessed you were to have so many years of your Dad's guidance and companionship. Truly a gift from Above. Don
