Case Magnum trans shift accumulators

Can anyone tell me about these shift accumulators? I’ve just checked them on my 7140 and one is only 10psi and the other is 40psi….I think they are supposed to be over 100psi. The tractor is still shifting ok. The op manual doesn’t mention them and I don’t have a shop manual for this tractor. Are the accumulators easy to charge, and what pressure should they be?

Thanks,
Chris

U should double check but I THINK 125#. U need a tank of compressed nitrogen, regulator, and a charge hose. The best way is with actual charge fitting, but can be done with a tire chuck. Must use nitrogen. Tractor will shift much smoother.

135 pounds of compressed/dry Nitrogen. Carefully push in the valve stem and make sure there is not oil in there. They go bad sometimes internally.
