My first tractor

I bought my first tractor this weekend, a 1955 Case 400. My Grandfather farmed with Cases when I was a little boy. That's me and my younger brother in the cab with him around 1987 or 1988.

Even though I grew up in the city and now live and work there I still love the sounds and smells of the farm and farm machinery...reminds me of Grandpa.

I'm a member of vintage tractor club and I'll be using my Case for vintage tractor pulls, road tours, some vintage farming activities and possibly public displays and events.

I was able to find another picture of my Grandfather's last tractor. My Uncle farmed with it as well for years after Grandpa retired, before moving up to a front assist Case a few years ago.

Welcome to the fraternity of Case owners. It is great that you have warm feelings for your Grandpa and his Case tractors. That 400 will bring you many happy experiences, I'm sure. Enjoy it and think of your youthful days whenever you drive it. Don
