I am wondering what the idle/fast idle settings should be. It currently idles at 950 and the high idle is 2300. That seems too high....also one of the remotes doesn"t work sometimes, but then works fine sometimes. are the remote stacks rebuildable? The remote valve is also making a sort of whineing sound when the tractor is running. any suggestions? IT"s a MFWD

The on again, off again remote problem could be as simple as needing a different male coupler, they have been known to do that. Besides its so easy to check first. The 94 series hydraulics were capable of making strange whining or chattering noises at times, here also check the simple things first, look for steel hydraulic lines touching, that is one of the common causes of noise on those tractors. Hi Karl, my 2wd 2294 idles at 750 rpms when you first start it and at 800 after its warmed up, provided the AC is turned off. I know that the bigger tractors 3294's for example idled at around the 950 mark. Is it just one of your hydraulics thats acting up or are all of them doing the same thing? You can disassemble the blocks and install new o-rings in them etc which may solve your problem if its just one thats acting up however if all of them are doing it its more likely a more serious problem.
