I and my brother, Chuck Machinist, are going to make rear end modifications on a 49 SC next week. (Different sprockets and chains) As most of you know it will require removing the PTO,rear tires, the hydraulic pump on the rear and the transmission cover and brakes. We will be replacing all the seals. My question is for those of you who have made similar repairs. Whats the best and safest way to proceed. One side at a time or do we shore up the rear end chassis and strip it all down?
