Eagle Hitch S

Did Case ever build an S standard with Eagle Hitch? I ask because there is an S on E-bay that has castings for the rockshaft.

Any "S" Series built from very late '51 on, will have the housing w/ E-H capability. Whether any straight "S" tractors had the E-H, I don't know. In looking through the old books, I found E-H available on the DI, which hugs the ground like an "S".

Tom,

I have seen several D's with Eagle Hitch, so I'm guessing S tractors should have it as well. Kind of hard to imagine it working very well on those low models though. Don

Parts book shows different draft arms, mounting brackets and lift links for the S as compared to the SC. It is blank under the listings for the SO which may indicate they were not available with 3 pt. Lee

Mark, Eagle Hitch was Case's trademark for the three point.

Don, I have an Eagle Hitch D. I have never seen an Eagle Hitch S.

i have a 1952 s standard with the EH housing. it also has the bottom brackets that hold the EH arms and the bottom part the lift cylinder fits into. it has dual hydraulics. no top bracket and no EH arms. i will need to get the build card to see if it actually came with EH or not.

On page 115 of Peter Letourneau's Illustrated Buyer's Guide to Case Tractors,it says Eagle Hitch was first offered on the S Series in 1952.
