camshaft plug on VAC

what type plug (and size) is used to seal camshaft on flywheel end of block. My parts book was not that specific. CASE VAC 1958
 
I think that's just a freeze plug. My service manual says to prevent camshaft from moving aft (when messing with the timing gear, for instance) as this will knock out the freeze plug in the flywheel end.
