1956 310 underway. I have a reprint of the Case Dealer's Service Manual but it does not include the sections on front, rear axles, or electrical. Does a second book make up the remainder of the complete manual? That section on instuments and electrical is what I really need. 6 volt positive ground I would like to not let any smoke out..... thanks.[/img]

Looks like a very comprehensive restoration. Looking at the grill protector in the back ground, and the axel loader mts. your 310 could be a "utility" with Cream colored sheet metal, rather than Desert Sunset. Just curious if you were on top of this, since you are going to such detail. Loren Ny.

Interesting....didn't know about "cream". Aren't all 310's Utility? 300 311 312 etc designated the model? I always called the 310 the utility version in the 300 series but I learn lots from you guys here! Having said that, the tin is all the desert sunset color. This 56 has the triple range, hand clutch and PTO. No eagle hitch, but it has a nice old Davis 101 loader. Sure makes it not very handsome with the loader on it though. I plan on using it for snow cleanup and basic loader chores. I like to make em look good before I put em back to work!

Case sold these tractors to traditional Ag dealers in the Desert Sunset dress, but at the time they had bought American Tractor Co., and were developing their Construction/Utility Dealer network and denoted those identical tractors and crawlers with the new Industrial Cream color.Contact Rich Tworek at [email protected] with your SN and model, and he should be able to provide you with a build sheet and other info. for a few bucks. Good luck, Loren Ny.
