530 Case 31 loader hydraulics won't lift

Ref: Case 530 with 31 loader. I replaced both bucket cylinders and all new lines. Previously, the lift worked fine but I had no bucket cylinders. After installing the new bucket cylinders and hoses the lift went up about half way and the bucket cylinders moved slightly. I made sure the hydraulic reservoir is full. Now I can"t get any of the cylinders to move. I"m mystifyed. I do seem to have a small air relief valve on the right side of the loader frame. I noticed air rushing in (or out) of it when I released the lift arm valve. HELP Please
 
Buck sounds to me like you got some of you hoses crossed, retrace the hoses and make sure you don't have a life cylinder and bucket line crossed some where, also not remembering right now if the 530 has the hyd bucket leveling cylinder or not if it has this it is possible to connect wrong and give you problems like you describe, if you still have problems post us some pics of the hyd lines to show how they run we will see if we can find the problem cnt
 
Dear case nutty: Thanks for your help. I'm meeting with a mechanic in about an hour to try to fix it. If we don't succeed, I'll shoot pics and try to send them.

Problem solved: Duhh. I did not know that the hydraulic oil reservoir for this loader is the hollow frame of the loader on the right side. When we added the bucket cylinders, it diverted too much of the oil so neither lift or bucket cylinders had enough oil. I had mistakenly filled only the hydraulic reservoir in the lower housing of the tractor itself. The specialist mechanic looked at the loader and the hoses and figured out where to add the oil. Then everything worked. We refilled the reservoir after flexing all the cylinders and now the loader works great.
