SC Rear axle

Old posts refer to an axle that is 8" longer than standard for dual tires. How much should be sticking out of the housing for a regular vs extended length axle. Also, was there a connector that would bolt the rear duals together or were they simply clamped to the axle independently?

The optional axle will extend the rear wheel spacing from 80" to 96". This is awesome cuz you will now clip the corner on every building on the farm, gouge every oak/ash/maple tree in your woods (never the boxelder/aspen etc). They were just meant for wider spacing, usually with the wide front end. If you need duals on a little SC, you shouldn't be there. Don't ask how I learned that.......
