I have a 29 L that I am trying to adjust the clutch on, but cannot get the adjusting pin far enough out to do any adjusting. At one point the pin went so far into the hole that I could not get it out, but several hours and curse words later was able to get the vise grips back on it. I can see far enough in to see what appears to be a washer on the back side of the adjusting pin that hits when I try to move the collar to tighten the clutch. Any help would be greatly appreciated as we are having a plow day on the 22nd and I really wanted to do some work with the L.

UPDATE: Had to split the tractor and remove the clutch assembly. The spring that keeps the adjusting pin sliding back into a locked position was bent and would not allow the adjusting pin to come all the way out. New spring and now it is working fine. Just have to back the clutch off and all should be well. Thanks again.

Thanks for the page, I did not have the transmission in gear, so that would definitely help. It just does not appear that the adjusting lock pin is far enough out for me to move the adjusting yoke, but I will give it a try with the tractor in gear. Thanks again.
