3394 differential locking switch

have a 3394 that the rocker switch for the differential locking only rockers half way and differential lock does not work. Are there conditions that have to be met before it will activate, IE in neutral or wheels spinning?

Pat, I don't think there are any interlocks or devices internal to the swich to keep it from stroking fully to the engaged position. Your description to me indicates a failed rocker switch. The disengagement process is automatic when the brake/ brakes are depressed. You should be able to work it up out of the console with a small screwdriver and disconnect the harness from it. Post back your results. mEl
 
might be full of dust take some air to it happend on our 1896 a few
times after we run with back window out...

you'll also want to check your brake switches too. If they are not adjusted properly or are not working it will tell the system to disengage. Also check the return spring on the pedals, if it's not pulling the pedal all the way back it cant engage the switch.
 
Thanks I will check those too. Pretty sure the pedal has full return, will need to check electrical though. As it is the switch does not light up at all when it is tried and no locking happens.
